UFC 222: Cyborg vs Kunitskaya Betting Odds and PredictionsCat:未分類
Cris Cyborg makes among the shortest turnarounds in her profession when she places her UFC featherweight championship on the line vs Yana Kunitskaya at UFC 222 on March 3. Cyborg will enter this main event among the greatest favorites the UFC has seen in years.
However, once you get past the lopsided main event, the rest of the chief card is stacked with tough-to-call, competitive bouts. In the time of this writing, none of the four fights on the main card beyond the title bout has a favorite bigger than -190.
Cris Cyborg vs Yana Kunitskaya
We watch Cyborg (-1600) because she has made a profession out of destroying her enemies. Cyborg has ever been among the most aggressive fighters in the industry but the featherweight champion has learned to exploit that and become much more patient. The actual meat to her game is the jab, as Cyborg will throw the jab out until a competitor feels the necessity to fire back — then she will counter with rapid, fight-ending goals.
Cyborg is a massive fighter who owns huge strength for demanding clinch battles, though she’s technically well served in this region too. Her natural balance and core power produce takedown attempts typically ineffective.
Yana Kunitskaya (+800) is an unknown for many but she’s far from a novice. The challenger has spent her entire life practicing martial arts and has a well-versed striking repertoire thanks to her extensive training in Muay Thai and taekwondo. Kunitskaya does her best work when she can dictate the speed and space of a fight, working from the outside with her kicks.
Concerning grappling, Kunitskaya is solid but largely relies on her sneaky strength. The technique still hasn’t caught up entirely, though there were noticeable improvements. If Kunitskaya can acquire high hands on the ground, she moves well and has good ground and pound.
