A match in the United States’ next tier was left after an object threw on to the pitch.
After hosts Phoenix Increasing scored to go up 4-1 at the 77th minute LA Galaxy II assert goalkeeper Eric Lopez has been hit by a beer can.
The game has been suspended, but while the teams walked away there was a Galaxy player hit on the rear by the following object thrown out of the crowd – which led to the game.
Rising were granted the victory.
“A non-Phoenix Growing supporter enabled his frustrations to get the better of him when he threw an item on to the area,” Rising said in an announcement.
“In the interest of player safety, the referees decided to suspend the match and asked the two teams to roam off the pitch.
“Since the two clubs were walking back to the locker space, a Rising fan retaliated by throwing an object on to the area and hitting LA Galaxy II player at the lower spine. Following an overview of the situation, the referees left over the match.”
Rising say they have banned two lovers following the events and the team will present”plastic cups for future matches”.
United States League rules state that in a match abandoned after the minute with a single facet three objectives, the result could be declared official.
It was Increasing’s 20th victory.
