Prosecutors in South Africa are investigating if Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth was involved in an alleged assault and also case of abuse per day every month, before he was named in his country’s World Cup squad. The South African Rugby Union states it’s providing its”full cooperation” and”will require suitable action” once the analysis is complete, raising the chance that Etzebeth may be called back in the World Cup in Japan. Abusing or attacking anybody was denied by etzebeth when the allegations surfaced and went with the Springboks squad to Japan. Prosecutors are trying to establish if Etzebeth was involved in the early morning of August 25 in a bar brawl in the coastal town of Langebaan. They are also exploring allegations he abused a individual in a separate incident on precisely the night.
