Prosecutors in South Africa are exploring when Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth was involved in an attack and also case of abuse every month before he had been named in his country’s World Cup squad. The South African Rugby Union says it is giving its”full cooperation” and”will take appropriate action” once the investigation is finished, raising the risk that Etzebeth could be called back in the World Cup in Japan. Abusing or attacking anyone was denied by etzebeth once the allegations surfaced and travelled with all the Springboks squad to Japan.
