England and Arsenal winger Beth Mead says there is no place for chants in football, in either the mens or womens game. Manchester United beat Liverpool 2-0 in the their first ever Womens Super League meeting but the event was marred by reports of chanting. The FA are currently exploring the claims of Liverpool that manager Vicky Jepson – together with the club in general – has been targeted from the United buffs. United state they are conscious of the allegations and will investigate. Mead states the chants have been a topic of conversation among the Lionesses, also is currently on international duty as England prepare for a trio of all friendlies, starting on Saturday with Brazil. Its unsatisfactory and we dont want it coming into the womens match, but there is no room for it in either the mens or womens game, Mead said.
